New USA LP fuel pumps for 2002 and up Yamaha

I recently replaced the low pressure fuel pump on my 2002 F225. Yamaha no longer sells the pumps, but Sim Yamaha has some for $900. I investigated every aftermarket pump I could find, and not one of them had good reviews. Carter makes quality fuel pumps in the USA, and I found one that was...

    2006 Suzuki DF 225

I recently replaced the LP fuel pump on my 2002 3.3L F225. Used a Carter with custom fittings. See my other post in this thread. Once I seatrial it, I will post more about the new pump installation. Yamaha pump, $900 and probably not available. USA made Carter pump with custom fittings, $160.

If you could test the fuel pressure, that would help a lot. Otherwise, replace the low pressure pump.

    1994 yamaha 250 outboard..txrs

My F225 will move enough water using a flushing adapter. It needs to be in a tub of water. You could try using the rectangular flushing adapter, which works better than the round style. Then try fitting a large plastic garbage can under the motor and fill it with water.

What are the low pressure fuel pump specs, on F250-F300's, year by year?

I have set up a Carter fuel pump for the LP pump on my 2002 3.3L F225. I believe the specs are about 5.-7 psi, but want to make sure. The Carter pump I used puts out 10psi at low flow, and 1 psi at max flow of 37 gpm. Also for later years, I believe Yamaha went to about 40 psi for the lift...

    Question on Yamaha electrical connectors

I would like to buy some Yamaha style electrical connectors, for testing purposes. Does anyone know if these are Yamaha specific, or are available to purchase? My engine is a 2002 3.3L F225. Thanks for your help.

Which spark wire set for Chevy 5.7, with 90 deg. boots each end?

Trying to find a wire set to fit my 350 Mag MPI Horizon. However I just replaced the distributor so now have a female socket type of cap. My usual marine supplier could not help me. I have been on Summit Racing, they have sets that could work, but are all made by Sierra. Now that Sierra...

What Chevy engine is my 2006 350 MAG MPI Horizon?

Okay, thanks Scott. I was going by the info on Wikipedia. I am always trying to understand where and how to buy parts without paying the high Mercuriser prices.

What Chevy engine is my 2006 350 MAG MPI Horizon?

I check the intake manifold, and it uses 4 bolts per head. So it is the L31 engine. Thanks for all the above tips.

Looking for a different distributor than my crab cat dist.

New distributor almost in. I forgot to bring a long screwdriver to rotate the oil pump, so one more trip. I Also need wires with 90 degree ends. The current wires are long enough, but water would run down the insulation into the wire end and start corrosion. The Pertronix is much heavier...

Looking for a different distributor than my crab cat dist.

That Dorman part is very slick. For me, it was the small screws holding the rotor in place. I should have tapped for a 8-32. But now I have a new billet distributor coming from Summit Racing. No more expensive crab caps.

What Chevy engine is my 2006 350 MAG MPI Horizon?

Okay, mine appears to be a L31 model engine. Will check more when back at the boat.

What Chevy engine is my 2006 350 MAG MPI Horizon?

No particular parts at this time, thank you. However knowing the engine model will help me in the future. May do a rebuild next spring. I redid the heads with Manley stainless valves two years ago, but power seems down and the motor has 2,000 hours on it. Will do a compression test soon. If...

What Chevy engine is my 2006 350 MAG MPI Horizon?

I suspect it might be an LT1, however for many parts I believe it is compatible with engines used in 2001 C/K 2500 trucks. If so, it would not be the LT1. It is a 5.7 with a roller cam. Serial number s#OM675521.
