mercruiser pre alpha outdrive 2.0 gear ratio with a 3.0 mercruiser 140hp
upper end is toast but my question is on gear ratios. my buddy gave me a upper end he had and it was in good condition so i slapped in on now after reading some more i found out this ring and pinion has a 1.5 gear ratio...

a couple of day ago the boat left me stranded. i changed out a bunch of things drained the old gas and put new gas in it. Went to start it and it started but was running crazy rough and you could see the stringers flexin from the motor rockin so much. it...
