when the boat is in forward gear and I am giving it no gas it grumbles. When I give it a lil gas or put in neutral it purs like it should. See above video link.

When I shift into forward gear on my 95 5.0 L sea ray the trim down occasionally clicks on.
I just redid the bracket and aolenoids on the trim motor and everything else works as supposed to just have that occasional "short" when accelerating out of idle in forward to cruising speeds.

The culprit was: I did not screw the brass threaded portion of the shift cable to specifications.

I ordered part # 30-803099T-1 from wholesale marine to replace gimbal bearing and bellows etc. The new gimbal bearing that shipped with this kit does not have a channel or a hole in the outer housing of the gimbal bearing beneath the tolerance ring for grease to flow through.

I just installed a new stereo head unit in my boat. The positive connection has an inline glass fuse. I blow it when the music is turned up loud. The radio itself has a fuse on it. Do I need the inline fuse? My 6" marine speakers are rated for 75 watts RMS...My radio is only rated for 50 watts...
