Its a little late as i have already purchased the wire 514gm motorcraft from ebay. 14 AWG gauge stranded. The wire previously was 16 and i replaced it with 16 but the new wire has more strands of thinner copper and i dont think it can handle the current when starting as it is getting warm to the...
1970 60 hp. 60Esl70b. I can hear something moving in the gearbox when the shift in the control box is moved. However, i only measure 11 volts to the blue wire and .1 or .2 to the green when in reverse. Normal or no? Neutral and forward voltage check out okay.
Any way to repair a safety switch? Here is a picture(not my own picture, but the same safety switch): I fried it I think. I connected the battery directly to ground through it and then jumped the starter. It looks REALLY hard to get out, I looked and it is right under the base of the flywheel...
