I have to replace my steering cable on my Chieftain. Any suggestions on a good one and The ones I see don't have a screw on fitting that goes to the steering wheel like the oem one? They have a crimped end and a screw on at the motor end. Whats up with this?? Thanks

Well being new to starcraft boats. I would like to know what to expect in heavy weather as here in the Bras D'or Lakes it can get rough fast. My Chieftan seems to be a little narrow and thus rolls easy . And imput is helpful. Thanks, Donnie;):D
Hello all from Nova Scotia, Canada. I have just bought a 1974 18 foot chieftian, Love the boat, it has a 60 hp Mercury 1996 . I am hoping to replace with a n 4 stroke 75 or 90 hp:) :):)
