Just a quick one. I have the same pump as in the picture ( mine is still in boat ) Need to replace just the motor . Can the motor be removed without removing the the fluid pressure from the tilt system? 3 screws drops it and I don't want to have all the ATF shoot out of the system . Thanks .
Hello All, see what you think of this... Randomly my dash switches will be reversed and some not working? my hour meter starts clicking and the boat is off (battery switch on of course) Bilge switch light is on and running when in the off position?

5.7 carbureted GM block spec to volvo . Manual says ac delco 41-932 or 41-993 at .030. Engine had iridium ac delco 41-101 in it.they come at .060 new. should these plugs also be at .030 for my application. Thanks guys !
older style trim pump 3854030. outdrive is in the up position, blocked up. I want to unscrew the trim lines from the rams but system is under pressure? No release valve on unit? Just cover line with towel and undo? Lot of pressure in there. Thanks.

I use the Pettit Hydro coat (which I had great results here in Boston waters last season.) Anyway the transducer growth when pulling it for the season was outrageous even with a few semi successful cleanings throughout the season.
The Transducer paints are water based...So is the Hydro coat...

I have read the threads,watched videos etc. I have the alignment tool with heavy ridges in the grease on top and also get a rough scrape of the coupler splines when pulling out....BUT, my bottom nut (shown in picture) is all the way down to the bottom of mount? The top nut is not in use for me...

I've looked up best I could online. Looking for the raw water hose from pump to transom plate,for the intake.I assume it must need to be a molded one to avoid the bends etc?

So I threw in a few extra pictures for fun as I know we all like to see them. So long and short bought the boat as picture 1 shows..cleaned it up (picture 2) re-powered (picture 3 boat was cheap,had no engine)
You can see from 2 that the pump is up on this elevated piece..screwed in no doubt...

Love seeing these older wellcraft things online. Not real old, but extinct, so worth a post. Just re-powered and rebuilding the trims for the drive just in time for this early spring !!
