I have a 1996 25 HP Suzuki outboard DT25C.
It is missing the case silencer and silencer cover that goes in front of the carbs. Is it safe to run this motor without the case silencer? Someone said that some engines will run lean without it and you shouldn't run WOT.
Does anyone have one for sale...

Just put a 300 E-tec on my 1997 Proline 251 walk.Still in break-in period. Getting 36 MPH @5400 RPM from a 4 blade prop. Fuel economy is uncertain yet (only 3 hours on engine) but maybe around 1.2-1.4mpg. Looking to maximize fuel economy vs. speed. Any thoughts?
