    Engine idles too low then dies out

    I have a 1987 merc 165 i/o. Engine starts fine. It idles at 500-600rpms then dies out after 3 minutes if i dont give it some more gas. How do you adjust the idle?     throttle problem

    I just installed the throttle on my boat and i cant get it into neutral. The boat starts good but it jumps into gear. When i push forward it goes backward and same when i pull it backwards. What would i need to look at or adjust?
