I have a 1976 24' Searay With a merc 260 and merc trans.
My question is is there some kind of adapter plate available if I would want to put a big block in this or is the tranny made for big and small blocks respectivley??
Any advice would be...
any one know about trs outdrives. are they good? Have an opportunity to purchase a 24' Searay. Needs motor which I have but not familiar with trs outdrive. Parts available easy to work on????

I have a 1981 Viking With a 260 Mercruiser I/O. Just out today and propped up to 19P from 15P. Got out to the crib about 5 miles running fine. coming back to port cruising about 2500 RPM It popped out of gear and whaaahed the motor. Shut it down and thought i spun the hub. started it back...
I have a 1981 Viking with a 260 Mercruiser. I think it has a prestolite trim pump. The pump only has one solenoid on it. I had to take the pump out to rebuild it and didnt make a diagram of the wiring. The solenoid has two large lugs and two smaller lugs. anyone know where i can get a diagram...
