I'm not familiar with starting up a 2004 2 stroke mercury 75 hp outboard ,I know you push the key in to choke with enrichner valve, but what about the fast idle arm ,what position should you put that at?I don't see a procedure in my manual,Frank
I have a 2004 75hp Mercury. Compression is good, timing is checked, but when starting up engine RPMs goes very high then i have to slow it down then the engine stalls. The carbs were cleaned prior to purchase. Anybody have any ideas on how to repair this?
