Hello everyone and thanks for all your replies. I finally tried the advice of someone who suggested it probably was a cap that was broken at the nub on the power steering cooling pump located at the rear of the engine. As a last resort before taking it to the shop I found a 3/8 rubber cap at...
OK, thanks! I checked the power steering pump and both the hoses coming out of it are hydraulic hoses. When I put the water hose on the Engine Raw Water Flush fitting the water was running out of the nub where the hose is broke off of at the back of the engine. There is no hydraulic fluid...
Here are three more pics. One is of the broken piece of hose that came off the nub. I have searched for the other end of the hose and cannot find it. That's why I thought if I knew the placement of cooling pump I might be better abler to find it.
Thanks.
OK. Thanks. I have attached a picture of the label on the right valve cover of the I.D. on the engine. Also another picture of the nub a little further back.
Thanks very much!
I think it is located somewhere on the back of the engine starboard side. There is such a tangle of wires and hydraulic stuff for the steering, and the view is so limited I have not found it. I'm thinking of taking the entire cover off the dang thing but that might still not improve the vision...
I don't think it is just a cap. I have made a dotted line around the water hose shown on the image. It goes from the number 13 "T" fitting up to the pump that is circled. That is the pump that I need to find out the location of. I'm pretty sure that is the power steering cooling pump. What...
The serial number of the engine is 40212136476. The model # is 5.0GL-E. It is a raw water cooling system picking up water from the lower unit. The picture attached is a picture of what's lift of the hose. I think it may be 3/8. I don't think the other is a threaded connection. The hose...
I have a 2005 Four Winns Horizon 210 with a Volvo Penta V-8. The small diameter water hose behind the distributor has broken and flew off in the engine compartment somewhere. The clamp and part of the hose is on the "T" connection behind the distributor and it appears that there is a threaded...
