the problem is the button that you push to advance the throttle to warm up the motor will not push in now. It's been sticking for a year now. You can't
push the thing in. I have lubed it and taped it with a hammer handle and it still...
the wood in the transom on my tx 17 tracker is gone the new trackers has aluminum ribing and no wood .can i replace the wood on my hull with <br />aluminum like the new boats and tig it in?
hello i have a 70hp merc 84-86 year that has been idle for a year the problem i have is the bottom carb is spitting fuel i replaced the float. and the needle and seat. i also blew out all the passages with carb <br />cleaner is there something that i may have missed?
i have a merc 70 that has some fowling(flakes of aluminum) from the piston on the plug.<br /> i can see that it is coming from the top of the piston. the walls of the cilinder look good<br /> what will cause this? <br /> :confused:
i can not get the timing marks to line up. <br /> if i pull the timing adjustment all the way back it runs better but still has some spark knock. the motor was worked on by a boat shop<br />and they realy screwed me.they say they ran it. but i had to work on it to get gas to the carbs. :rolleyes:
the book states to read tdc with a dial indicator then back counterclockwise past .464 a quater turn then back to the .464 mark or on the flywheel then reset the pointer ? is the only thing you use the dial indicator for is finding the tdc ? if i use the dial and go .464 the .464 does not line...
a week back i had a problem with the motor skiping and grounded out the #1 plug which smothed out the idle. the rings were busted which allowed ignition back into the block.
