hey guys. im giving a goodlook over on my 87 yammie 50. i had to replace the intake manifold and why i was in there i got a light and looked at what i could see of the cylinder wall. i noticed on the number 1 cylinder..there is some light scratch marks at the very bottom almost like a cat got to...
ive heard about everything. i have got a 87 yammie 50.im thinking of removing the oil injection. ive heard it could cause some problems on a yamaha engine b/c of the oil going thru the carbs could gum them up.. i just dont trust those oil injectors at all..what u think..
can u use a regular tach to adjust carbs. i have one but is says for 4..6..8 cylinders. i only have 3.. also if this wont work what kind of tach would..thx
hey everyone.. just got through with carbs and as i was going to mount them i saw a small chip from the number 2 opening in the intake manifold. it must have happened way before i got the engine b/c there is no signs of particles anywhere inside. it is chipped right in the corner near the oil...
guys i started installing carb rebuild kit today. the kit didnt come with a nything to measure the float level with.. can i use something else? also after installing the valve seat the needle drags a little going in and out..is this normal or should it be looser..thx
