Could my fuel pump be causing my issue with not getting over 4000 rpm? Fine under no load. When I try to get up and go in the water it takes forever and only gets to 4K? Spark checked out fine.
is this normal for only my top cyl to fire in idle. I thought at leat 2 were supposed to. 2003 Merc 90 elpto 2 stroke. Thanks

hey guys I was running at the chesapeake today. When I opened up the throttle in forward, the motor would not pass 4000 RPM. Neutral opens up fine as does reverse. I checked spark when I got home with a timing gun and changed plugs on the water. It takes forever to even get to 4000? Any help...

OK, From what I researched this plug has something built in to prevent radio interferance. This plug is 3 times more expensive than BUHW-2. Is it safe to try the non Z to see if it causes any problems? Anyone have experience with this issue?
