    Ok didn't remove the prop just yet, but I did notice putting it in forward or reverse the prop moves in either direction.

    Sorry guys. This is a 1989 Charger 1850 that I completely rebuilt. The engine is a Mercruiser 4.3 L. I attached the pictures for the prop I was talking about. The drive is an alpha one.

    Issue with throttle?

    so I put my lower back on my boat then put theottle cables on engine. Pretty sure those are right. Then I tested the throttle but putting the handle on (its all hanging on the floor) and moved handle any way and went back and was able to spin prop freely both ways. Im not aure whats going on...

    Can you put an outboard trottle on an inboard motor boat? I ask this because everyplace I look i really only see outboard motor throttles.

    so a boat I bought, the previous owner said that the lower bellows on the lower unit was not on it. And I'm assuming that they ran the boat in the water. Probably took on water as well. What kind of damage could I be expecting from this idiotic move?
