I've been working on this motor for a few weeks now. With all the great help here it's almost purring like new. Went to the lake today for some testing regarding a rough idle and that issue has pretty much been resolved it seems.

If I do a spark gap test with all 4 plugs out I get 7/16 spark

dropped lower unit to put in new seals and I'm finding this milky nasty sludge pretty much everywhere. Is this a head gasket or is it possibly just from leaking a little lower unit oil ??

All 4 cylinders show good 7/16 gap spark but, #4 spark does miss some . I tested also with a simple light from powerpack #' 10, 11, 3, and 5. --- shows a dim light on my test light cranking the engine with good batt and plugs out.
Question is can I check voltage out of the powerpack 3 5 10 and...
#2 has 122 lb #4 has 120 this side looks to me to be pretty much the same. GREAT TEST ... the covers all look pretty much the same inside as well.
