    '72 65hp Johnson - Replacing coils

    Is it ok to replace one coil at a time on these motors? I bought one for a backup and thought why not put it on and keep the old one for as a backup. Will doing this cause any issues?

    Staining wood transom and then glassing

    Hey guys, if I stain my wood transom replacement first will the fiberglass resin still stick to it for sealing purposes? If so can I put more than one coat of resin on it?

    '72 65hp Johnson dies with gradual "throttle-up"

    Well the title sums it up. When I try to slowly increase throttle the motor just dies out. The only way to get it to accelerate is to "punch it". Once it takes off it runs great. Once I go back to idle speed I have the same problem. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance, Chuck
