On a 83 Johnson 90, what makes the throttle return. Mine gets stuck and doesnt return to idle. I even tried adding a spring to pull back, thats helps but doesnt seem the best. I have replaced the throttle cable thinking it was sticking and that also helped a bit but not totally.
83 johnson 90 no fire....obviously have air...fuel pump pumps when i pull the line off the carb...bowl is full of fuel....can blow through where the line attaches and hear air in throttle body.....so getting gas....when i pull the plugs and hold them against a ground they spark.
My question is...
If you stand at the back of the engine the 2 cylinders on the right are not getting spark. I put brand new plugs in. tried wires on both sides they work. don't know where to go from here. Ive looked at other parts in the system but they are expensive and i don't want to just start buying...
