Have a 1986 OMC 3.0.. Has always run perfect . This past weekend motor was as usual running great while tubing then......, the linkage between the throttle cable, and the " what I would call the accelerator pump" broke... Would not run.... Replaced it today, and cannot seem to get motor to start...
My play boat is a 1986 Starcraft 1601 w/ a 3.0 OMC Stringer. Yea.. I've heard all the issues about stringers and OMC. It has however,been maintained very well over the years and it is in very good shape.
