So I am deep in the process of rebuilding a '79 Evinrude 140 and found out a few interesting things. Basically besides needing an overbore I am need a real big overbore since it was previously knocked out to 3.540. So with it being 3.564 now I am curious if I should also change the main orifice...

I have a '79 100 HP Johnson V4 on my boat. It generally runs well but sometimes it's a bit finicky. It's not running right compared to last season. I plan on doing a carb rebuild of the older style carbs I have on her now but was thinking why waste my time and go for an upgrade.
