My boat wants to turn left only at high speeds. Stering is tight at high speeds and if i take my hand off the wheel the boat will actually turn left.. ONce i slow down my boat seems to stear fine. Is this because my scag is bent about an inch or two.

I have a merc 170 hp engine in my 1988 wellcraft calssic 192. Its the larger of the 4 cylinder engines. Anyone have knowledge on how this engine will preform in compairison to the smaller 4 cylinders? I all most bought a smaller 4.

I know this engine will use 25w40 motor oil which i believe is synthetec. I would like to go to autozone and run regular oil. I plan on doing the engine oil change every year. What grade should I use? Thanks!

Heres my 88 WelllCraft 19.2 Classic. Im also a newbie. Went from a 72 glastron open bow to my first inboard. Going to clean the exterior shortly. As you can see the interior is just fine:)

Next pictures are uncleaned with a few spot clean areas. How do I clean it? The are is now smooth to the touch after cleaning it. If I need not get it looking better im fine with it. But, I do want to take care of my new boat.
Ok, here are some pics of my new 1988 wellcraft. Very dirty boat. First pic here I have cleaned it but still a good stained hull. Hull is smooth like glass after the cleaning.
Just bought a 1988 wellcraft 19.2 ft boat with 170HP Merc engine. Boat is in great shape outside and in. Was told engine was winterized and tuned up. I believe the guy but dont think it was tuned up. Oil is olde and lower prop oil needs changed.
How do you change the oil? Is their a drain plug...
Just bought a 19.2 ft 88 well craft cuddy. Found a drain in the bow. When trailoring it water must have slushed up into my cabin and soaked the rug. Does it drain out the back transit area and can I plug the hole???? I would rather have it dry up there.
Just bought a 1988 well craft. Should I wax it? If I wax it can I just leave the wax on without buffing it for longer life? Or, should I paint it. Im not concerned about preformance I just want to keep my hull nice. Boat is in fresh water may - sept. This applies only to the bottom and water...
