I have heard that in some boat configurations the motor must be removed to get cable assembly out. Did this just suddenly stop working or has it been sitting for a while. ...Maybe there is a mechanic malfunction (ie something came lose or elsewise binding) rather than the cable being frozen...
I have a '96 and a slight amount of water, mixed mostly with exhaust, comes out of the upper exhaust holes. Sort of a sputtering spray. These are the holes that look like little nostrils. I can't recall noticing this before and someone recently pointed it out. Is this normal?

I have a '96 BF90 and it is very difficult to steer. The problem is in the pivot action on the motor frame since its hard to turn even with steering cable disconnected. The whole 'neck' part where steering rod connects to is rusty as heck and I think there may be rust near the pivot bushing...
