    Hi Wondering if anyone knows what grade of oil i need for my 5.0gl-e. I have searched and can only find sae30. Is there a grade like 15-40 or something, i asked a local mechanic and he said it should be two numbers like 10-40 not just sae 30 cheers

    starter part number

    hi, wondering if anyone can tell me the part number for an early volvo penta 5.7 engine, its got a starter on it, but having issues with it, and there is 3 spacer shims on it, which makes me wonder if its not the right starter. so want to check what numbers should be on mine. cheers

    difference between the volvo penta 5.7 and the mercruiser 5.7

    sorry this might be a silly question im asking, but whats the difference between these engines, i bought a boat at the weekend and it said it had a 5.7 mercruiser engine in it, but the exhaust manifolds have volvo on them, but the air intake says mercruiser any advice would be great. thank you
