I have started to restore a 1966 Searay srv 17 outboard.
I have begun compounding the hull with an orbital polisher and med compund.
It is a blue green color and very faded.
The pad that came with the buffer loads up way to often and does not bite enough.
Does anyone know the best...
Hi got lucky (I think) and bought a 1967 SeaRay SRV 170 with trailr (no engine) for 100.00.
I believe the deck and transom are solid glass without any wood. Steering is there as well as an Evinrude throttle assembly. All good, needs seats and a motor.
Any info on this model SeaRay ?

I bought a 1964 Evinrude 40HP twin.
I had to disconnect all the wiring from the dash and the junction box..
I di not disconnect anything from the motor.
Can anyone post how to reconnect the engine side to the "box" and from the box to the dash.
I am at a loss on all things electric...
I am picking up a 1972 Larson All America this week.
It needs a new deck toward the bow, I will replace it all.
Question . I puled up some of the plywood and the stringers appear to be wrapped in fiberglass. I can see no wood at all.
They are at least 8" in width and 8" high from the hull...

I have a 1970 Glastron v145 with a burgundy interiro.
I have some small cracks appeeraing in the seats.
Is there anything to soften the vinyl ?
Or is a "repair kit" the only way.

I just bought this Glastron from an old timer.
He had the boat stored in his barn.
He started the motor every year fro the past 10 years.
He had the floor replaced.
The interior seating does not look original.
Anyway I am picking it up on Saturday (with the paperwork).
