I thank you for your help, but your sarcastic innuendos are not appreciated. And I am not pretending nor do I think myself to be smarter than anyone; was just seeking advice from like minded individuals.
I’m not working on a motor. I’m working on an Engine. How did we get to this point when I had simply asked “is it a bad idea to install an electric fuel pump?” With this new information network ( internet ) I can find all of the information needed.
Perhaps if you were looking at this engine; which is a 1988 90 HP with VRO AND fuel pump you would understand why I need to change the manifold. There is a metal slot in the engine for the manifold to rest in which requires me to acquire the manifold to rest in correctly. Thank you for your...
The reason I need a new manifold is because I’m removing the VRO pump and the current manifold hose connections are pointed in the wrong direction. The manifold I need the hose connections are perpendicular to the upright tube and the feed for the primer pump is at the top.
thanks for the responses, I will get a new manifold and mechanical fuel pump. I’ve replaced everything on this boat except for the rivers in the hill of this old17 foot deep-V Sylvan:)
Can anyone tell me how to acquire a maintenance and parts manual for this old craft that I have purchased. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards
