    Building a fishing deck for my Starcraft SS - advice please!

    I'm looking to remove the bow seats and cover with ply to create a full fishing deck - I plan to carpet the wood however I'm a little unsure of what prep work i should do first to ensure a long lasting floor. Suggestions?

    Re: Adding a fishing deck to a bowrider - anyone done it? I'm also a pretty big fan of how they do the rear folding bench seat... I wonder how they get the pedestal seat to mount to the closed position of the bow casting deck?

    Adding a fishing deck to a bowrider - anyone done it?

    I've got a 1982 16' Starcraft SuperSport (original) and I'd like to add a fishing deck/casting platform to the bow. I rarely need the additional seating and would like to make it more fishing friendly! I want to be able to have a pedestal seat and a couple of storage compartments. Any advice...

    Just bought a 16' Starcraft SuperSport!

    Pretty pumped - i just bought a 1982 Starcraft SuperSport with an 80 hp Merc. Planning on updating the interior this fall/winter. Any suggestions for adding a fishing seat up front? I'd like to be able to switch out between having the open bow style seating and a fishing platform.
