    Just purchased a concord boat with a 2003 250 EFI Mercury engine The problem I am having is limited power not going over 2000 RPM & not able to plane? Also fuel bulb goes soft. Any ideas, Thank you.

    Good news! I got engine running. It was the fuse at engine. A wire also found to have shorted out. Runs like a 140 should. Thank you all for the support! Regards, Clint

    Hello Forum: I have a Evinrude 140 1979 and launced today with horrible results. The engine seemed like it was running on 2 cylinders than full throttle and then stalled after 3 minutes. Now it wont stay running. Only runs at high idle and then stalls,, I think maybe a coil,,?
