Recently I purchased an old bayliner to restore...I am almost their. aq125a has been fully gone through and runs like a gem. Currently I am in the process of finishing the interior. the MAIN problem that I am having is trying to figure out how to paint the interior. After ripping out the nasty...
Am currently knee deep into the resurrection of this old beast, but am having issues...I did the compression check and all numbers were stellar ranging from 147-155. So I decided to pull the exhaust manifold due to the raw water tank spewing water out of the cap, well one of the bolts to the #4...
Seems kind of odd that their is no rivets, but then again im new to this stuff and have only worked on my old holiday. I was also wondering why the windshield would be so difficult, seems pretty simple to do am I wrong:confused:

Can not afford the downrigger that I want, but I do have a really heavy fishing pole. Could I use a downrigger weight on the heavy pole and clip my fishing pole line to the heavy pole line and use it as sort of a poor persons downrigger?
Looking to set my boat up for the summer, really mainly looking for pics on how other holidays are set up for a swim platform considering that the transom is so low and their is a large aluminum piece that covers the back of the boat. Also I have a kicker plate bolted on to the transom on the...
Re: The Official 2012 Starcraft on the Water Thread
I posted a couple of vids earlier of us at green peter lake in sweet home Oregon, and decided that we would head back out their today, thankfully it was much nicer, but we were getting some strange looks due to our partially paint striped boat:D
Motor runs great, but I can not reach the shift lever on the side...What have you guys done that have my same issue? I have a 1967 18ft starcraft holiday so their is a cover type thing at the back of the boat, and then the kicker plate is behind that so its really far out. Anything helps! here...
A little while ago I asked about adjusting the idle on my old 976 85hp johnson and was told that it would be done by adjusting the timing? I bought a manual for it, but it is not clear as to how or where to adjust, does someone have pics or a video or something? I am gonna go splash this weekend...
Not sure what the issue is, but I have a 18ft 1967 Starcraft Holiday that we bought not too long ago and for some reason it seems to wanna tilt to the side way too much when im in it, the last time that we went fishing it was me 6ft tall 300pds and my brother 6ft2 and 280 pds well we both...
Here is our Holiday, we are wanting to remove the hood to put a platform and a livewell up in their, has anyone else done this? And would it disrupt the structural integrity of the thing, even though we will be bracing with the platform?
Re: Did i buy the wrong outboard?
Great guys here are some pics, also I was wondering what this low speed mixture nob was for? It does not seem to do anything when I adjust it.
Re: Strange oil leak need help
Ok I will check gear fluid first, here is a pic from further away, the leak is to the right of the bolt in the pic you can see it puddling towards the bottom.
Just bought a 1967 evinrude 18hp and after running it in a bucket for a while we turned it off and found that their was a strange fluid coming from a little tiny hole at both sides here are some pics.
Bought a vintage evinrude 1967 18hp fastwin today for 200 bucks, the motor runs good and has 115 compression in both cylinders, but it is so old and i am wondering if parts/maintenance is going to be a problem? Another problem is that it is a bit large for a trolling motor, its going to go on a...
