    I have purchase a use boat has a 115 mariner 1985 haveing electric possiblel look like the stator wires are partially fiaked off insulation gone exposed corroded and braided wires are touching. boat start easy but in water push full throttle lose power.is stator bad.

    This boats start easy you but in under a load its has no power.check fire on engine runing 1-no 2yes 3no 4yes 5no 6yes-----with engine not runing 1no 2no 3yes 4yes 5timeing light come on 1 time 6 no.
