    1984 70hp top cylinder spark seems off

    here's what I got 1984 70hp evinrude starts right up When I pull the top plug wire nothing changes, but for the other 2 it does. Rebuild carb. Everything ok there. Switched plugs no change switched wired no change switched coils no change I'm thinking powerpack. any ideas? thanks in advance

    35hp evinrude on 15' am I doomed?

    I found a 1984 15' Mach 1 tri hull with a 1980 evinrude 35 hp. I took the boat out and it idles great. It won't get up on plane. I've read the other threads about motors not going. Am I doomed to a slow boat with this combo, or is my motor just not tuned up? Thanks for the help.
