i have 1999 cobra 190d with a 99 merc 200 efi. It has a 6 inch set back with a 25 tempest prop. Right now the boat runs 60-61 with me alone and a light load at about 5600-5700 rpm. this cant be right. I've been reading where identicle cobra boats with the same setup are getting high 60's and low...
My motor acted kinda funky today....it doesn't seem to want to idle. whenever i start the motor it runs for a few seconds and then shuts off. If i give it a little gas it stays running. If i attempt to put it in gear without giving it a little gas it shuts off. I haven't lost any top end speed...
