I have a 1962 Mercury Kiekhaefer 9.8 and the recoil is shot. How do I repair this. The recoil is in the motor cover and there is a nut on the top. I would assume that one would be able to just remove this nut and the assembly would come out. However the nut just spins. Its like it's striped...
