    steering knuckle plate

    On my 115 merc, were the steering linkage comes thru the side deck (side wall were the batteries are) theres a plate were the round ball (what I call the knuckle) on the steering shaft sits, That plate is rusted out and starting to fail, letting the whole steering shaft move not just the inside...

    wate pump and seals

    I'm fixin to replace the water pump on both a merc 50hp and 115hp, I have found the pump kits that are available, but I also see there are seal kits, do these also need to be used, or does the pump kits come with all the proper seals and gaskets that need to be replaced.

    I have recently recieved a nice free IL6 115 '84, It needs a water pump, but that seems to be all the mechanical work it requires, now the 18' Struery it came on needs a little more to be sea worthy.
