I switched motors on my 2006 Tracker from a 2006 60 hp Merc to a 1996 75 hp. The tach works find but,the charging gauge shows minus when I run the boat and I have to charge the battery after ever 2 times I run the boat? Any suggestions?
I just picked up a 1996 Mercury 75 hp ,for my 2004 Tracker Targa 16.7 boat. It has a 15 pitch prop which the boat won't go over 23 mph at 5280 rpms. I was told the right one should be a 13.75 X 13. Is this correct?
I can't find how to un-attach the forward and reverse shift shaft so I can remove the bottom end to replace the water pump.Any help appreciated.I got the Seloc manual, but,it doesn;t show me anything.
I was going a long and the motor stopped. It would not tune over,I tryed it again after a while and it fires but stopped dead again after a few seconds. Could the piston rod bearings be shot? I have no metal filingd in the cyclinders
Any thoughts??
I got a 1986 Nissan 40 hp .It runs prefect but I have to pull start it.I called a place that sells parts and they said $171.00 for the key switch and harness. There are only 3 wires to hook this up. Anyone know how to do this?
I can get and afetr market switch for $20 .Just have to know how to...
All the wires were there .Got a new key switch and got her to run real nice ,but, can figure out the electric shift wiring.I bought the Seloc manual, but I don't get it.I has no color code and I don't want to burn something up.Anybody know how to do this?
How do I unhook the shift rod shaft, to get the lower end off to change the water pump? It has the reverse and forward built in to the throttle handle.I 's a 1996.I bought it cheap ,got the motor running sweet but she needs the pump re-built.
