I'm considering repowering with the new 300HP Suzuki but am concerned about its ability to slow troll (about 1000RPM) for extended periods. Will this slow running harm the engine or cause plug fouling and performance problems later? Any opinions on this engine would be appreciated.

Considering buying an old f.g. Chris seaskiff, a boat whose salty looks I've always admired. Question is: it's a dory type rounded bottom hull with smallish keel and I question whether it'll be a rolly-polly ride. It's high and dry and can't roadtest. Anybody familiar with this skiff?
Tilt /trim on 1995 Johnson goes up normally, but jerks badly when lowering. Electric pump motors are fairly new. Would appreciate advice from the pros here. Thanks. :confused:
My 1995 Johnson 200 Oceanrunner tach stopped working. Replaced tach and all was fine for about 30 hours use, then tach quit again. Could it just be bad tachs, or what else. Appreciate your advice.
My Good Windlass model AFD does not free drop very readily. Line can be pulled out (the clutch is releasing). I think it may need lubrication but have no manual or instructions for doing this. Can anyone out there offer advice or lube instructions? Thanks.
Have pair of "95 Johnson 200s with 400 hours on them. They probably have never had decarboning treatment. Would using OMC treatment (hooking can up to valve on engine) after all this use cause more harm than good? Would product designed to go into fuel tank be safer/better?Engines run fine...
engine starts and runs good but overheats. Had impeller replaced but still overheats. Was told it's possibly an o-ring at top of narrow cooling water tube. Much labor $$ to fix. Does this sound like correct diagnosis?
