    Do you know what that wire job is what does it actually do I know it turns off all power to the ignition but why from the engine would it do that? What else does it power do you know

    Its a really short fuse right? Maybe 1/2" long overall maybe a little smaller

    Blowing in-line fuse on starting circuit 200hp 1979 Evinrude

    Would that fuse be a 20 amp on a 1998 also? It is a very short glass fuse with only 3/16" of glass to view the fuse link? MOD EDIT: Please review the rule regarding posting to old threads. This one is 11 years old.

    I replaced the controls on my 21 foot Seaway, everything works fine for about six cycles of the key starting and stopping along with testing the kill switch.
