    86 Evinrude 120 vro pump & stalling

    Just wondering if a faulty VRO could cause stalling when coming off full throttle or throttling up too slowly. Seems to crap out around 2500-3000 rpm. Hates to run at mid throttle and always stalls if left too long. Other than carbs and timing "could" the VRO be the culprit? Thanks

    Mixed info on plugs???

    Hi all, I'm looking to replace the plugs on my 1986 evinrude 120 v4 looper. I see some sites recommending champion QL77JC4 while others recommend champion QL78YC. I'd really like to put the proper plugs in it. Can anyone shed some light on the actual plugs I should use. Thanks

    1986 120 evinrude, 5000 RPM wot

    Hey guys, just wondering if 5000 rpm is ok at wot for 86 120 Evinrude looper. I hit about 40-42 mph but keep hearing that this motor should be running at least 5500. I don't know what prop is on this thing "yet" new to me. Any thoughts. Thanks

    Why is it so hard to find this damn manual?

    Trying to find a service (repair) for my 86 evinrude 120 looper. I've been told to avoid seloc manuals and find the omc ones. No matter where I look I can't find a supplier that even lists one. Can someone direct me on where to find one please. Regards
