    '95 Freedom 170.......Positioning Outboard on Transom

    My problem is where to position outboard on transom because of stepped hull. I know on a boat without stepping, you place the cav plate even with or slightly above keel line, but what about stepped hulls?? Even all the way down it wont reach the bottom of the keel, so that theory doesn't hold...

    Lower unit compatibility??

    Changing Hub

    Is it possible to remove the 13 spline hub from an OMC prop and replace it with a 15 spline Merc hub?? The diameter and pitch are identical and the sizing seems to be as well. Thanx for any input!!:)

    Water from exhaust ports??

    I have a 1979 80 HP inline 4 cyl. There are 2 small rectangular holes at the back bottom of the cowling which I believe to be the exhaust ports.:confused: Is it normal for water to come out of those??:eek: I had the motor completely rebuilt at the start of the season and I never noticed this...
