I replaced the shift cable on my outboard. With new cable it hard to get into foward and won't go into reverse at all. I don't want to break new cable. Disconnected cable and it will not shift into reverse.
Ihave a 1997 90hp ran boat the other day,had foward and neutral, but would not shift into reverse. Disconnected cable from engine and could not shift by hand into forward or reverse.
