    Hey thanks! Yeah a few people are saying I need to get rid of that gas. Maybe I'll pump it out and clean the carb and see what happens. I watched some videos on carb cleaning. Do I need to buy a kit and replace gaskets/etc?

    I put new plugs in and a point was fixed. But I don't know if it's still sparking after it shuts down

    Also it did sit for almost two years. I mixed new gas with the old stuff.

    Hey so I have an 1988 Mercruiser 3.0L that keeps dying out after crusing for about 45 minutes then will not restart. I recently replaced the fuel filter that was really dirty and smashed a little. Is this a carb issue? I feel like a lot of junk probably got into it. Once the engine cools down...
