    150 Johnson 85yr VRO diconnected,pushing an 18 ft procraft bass rig Well I bumed my leg up a couple months ago and it has been sitting! took it out today and after some ruff idoling a minute are two ran perfect Now the Problem,seems to rising in temp. while idoling are slow cruise ! open her up...

    Rpm For 85 ,150 Johnson

    Someone told me 5400 ,Thats about what it does. But another friend is telling me 4800,,is 5400 to high, I very seldom run it wide open,the same friend says thats not good either!

    Still having the Problem, The first 15 minutes of running above half throttle feels like im turning the key on and off,does this about four or fivr times and somtimes even stops completly!Restart if it dies ,and will run great the rest of the day,I checked everything you guys mentioned ..Water...

    Fuel Or Electrical??

    I have a 85 Jonhson 150,Took it out the last two weekends and heres what happens. Starts fine,Start to increase throttle up to half no problem ,run half throttle about half mile and it acts like i turn the key off and on real fast.     Tach 150 1985 johnson

    Tach Pegs at half throtle,been around a few outbourds and 2 strokes ,its not even close to high Rpms,,Is this the tach or could it be somthing else,Thanks for any help,,this is a great board thanks!
