Should you see exhaust from the tell tale?

I have a 1986 15 HP Yamaha. I have water flow from my tell-tale, even at idle, but it is mixed with engine exhaust. Should the engine exhaust and the cooling water be communicating like that or do i have a bad gasket in my exhaust cover / plate area?

    1986 15 HP cooling issue

Hi, I fixed up a motor that had sat in a barn for years. Was full of mouse nest, insects, mud bees, etc. Got her running good, but I'm not getting any cooling to head and nothing comes out pee hole. Thermostat is good. Pump appeared to be good looking when I had lower unit off, but I never...

Fixing up 1986 15 HP Mariner

Hello, I'm fixing up an old mariner that my son picked up. Got her running, but I need a tiller and the bracket it connects to. The tiller is NLA, otherwise, i would pursue a new one. Does anyone know where I might find one? Thanks, Dale

    Keep losing a cylinder - 1976 15hp johnson

Went out this am, at first, one of the cylinders would kick in/out at 1/4 throttle or less. Above that, ran great. After several minutes, took 1/2 throttle or better to keep it running on both cylinders. Less than that and again, had a cylinder cut out. Ultimately got to where even full...

    1976 9.9HP Johnson

Hello, been dealing with a spark issue. Points good (0.020"), condensors good (go to "Open"), primary coil good (2 ohms), external coils good, new plugs - lost #1 cylinder in short order afterward. Coils are about 1.3 / 1.5 ohm on primaries and 12.9k / 13.5k on secondaries. I believe my...
