I've got a 1988 200 Evinrude.
I just re wired some wires under the console including moving the ignition switch to a different location.
There are a couple of wires that have been cut ( a black/yellow stripe that was spliced into a black wire and a black wire that has been cut)
How can I check...
i read on another forum that its a good idea to run anti-freeze through the outboard for winterizing.

If so, one way I thought to do it was, to put it in a large bucket with water, and run the lower unit in it.
Hi everyone. My 88 200 evinrude always smokes blue after start up. When running it seems fine. I`ll shut it down ,and after running, it stills smokes when started. Could this be the VRO ? If not, what would cause it just on start up ...
