    Tire rating/capacity?

    My trailer (tandem axle) is rated @ 5000 lbs. load capacity. My tires indicate 1750 lbs. ea.<br /><br />So...can I assume 4 x 1750 = 7000 lbs.?<br /><br />Also, is there any benefit to up-sizing from 14" tires/wheels to 15"?
