OK here is what I have:
1989 Celebrity BR 181
4.3 l Mercruiser with Alpha one Stern drive listed as 190 hp
ON the bot when I got it was a 14 1/4 diameter prop, 17 pitch. Using a prop calculator at http://turningpointpropellers.com/ says I should have a 23 pitch.
I am unable to get to WOT when...
Just posted more pics of the new floor project. If the weather would cooperate, this project may go a bit faster. Hoping to be back in the water by the end of the month!

OK, OK, before anyone starts, I know that carpet is evil and the last thing that anyone wants to put in the boat. But I am wanting to install it none the less (wife's orders). I have completed the floor replacement and I think that just short of sinking it on the bottom of the lake, the floor is...
bought some glass and resin for my project. But I think that the person that helped me was a little high. She said 1 ounce of hardener to 1 gallon of resin. Test cup is still spongy after 4 hours. Think it is safe to kick it up to 2 oz per gallon to obtain a decent set time? Totally a newbie...
I am planning on replacing my back to back lounge seats with pedestal seats. I am replacing the floor and I am wondering if I need to reinforce the floor where the bases will be mounted. Or should I use t-bolts from the bottom of the floor to insure a good mount.
Thanks!

First, thanks to everyone who posts help and suggestions on this board. I would have never undertaken this "project" if this board wasn't here.
Here are some photos of my 1989 Celebrity BR181. Noticed some soft spots in the floor, and with the arrival of a new baby, I figured I might as well...
Ok, I have done the "search this forum for information" already but still need some guidance. I have recently torn the floor out of my 89 Celebrity (and a dash and a storage box) due to rot. Getting ready to make templates from cardboard and start the wood work. I am going to use 5/8" ply...
I am looking for a source for some new wood for my boat. Mainly looking for a new set of doors that divide the cockpit from the bow on my 89 Celebrity Bowrider. The old wood (doors, treads, and cup holder) are teak and not doing too well. I can fab the rest but the shutter style doors will be...
Here is one for the experts. I have a 1989 Celebrity BR181 witha 4.3 liter Mercruiser Alpha 1. Air cover says 175hp. The serial number for the motor has been removed from both the air cover and the bell housing. I want to get a carb rebuild kit. The only number on the carb tag is 3304-9565. On...
I am installing 2 12v batteries to run a 24 volt tolling motor in my 18 foot Celebrity. I will also have a 12v starting battery. The trolling batteries are not wired to anything else at this time. My question is, has any one come up with an isolation system to charge all of these batteries while...
I am getting ready to mount a electric trolling motor to the bow of my 1989 Celebrity 181. Although the mount "shouldn't" be a problem with the top mount bow light, I am thinking of re-doing it. Has anyone made a set of bow lights using LEDs? I figure 4 or 5 of each color would be pretty visible...
