85 Force85 - I've heard the fins are for motors without pwr t/t to help in plaining and whatnot. I'm not sure how to use the t/t except that I try to keep the fins parallel with the water surface from start out to WOT...and to tilt the motor for trailering.
Im curious...

OK, I think I really messed up here. To be sure, the screw on the lower/boat-end of the LU isn't used to drain the LU fluid is it?? (Pic 1)
It's the set screw on the very bottom of the LU, correct? (Pic 2)
Because...(ya'll are waaay ahead of me aren't you?) now...

After using a tub and muffs, I got no water flow from exhaust (alot of black oil tho) or upper water ports.
See pic of housing. Frank says gouges are a bad sign. This thing looks like a break rotor off a 79 Chevy van.

1985 Force 85 - recovering from melted cdi (replaced) after backward battery lead connection. Got nothing after new cdi, but disconnected kill circuit wires and got an idle for a few seconds. Think the cards need a cleaning.
Otherwise tho, whats the circuit breaker for, why is it tripping...
