    There is no repair for cable issues. Just replace. and if 1 cable has issues, I replace both at same time.

    Check for worn motor mounts, perhaps there is movement that is causing some binding.

    If adjusted properly and still have issues with shifting, I usually find it to be a lower shift cable issue.

    NGK 2422 BUH is replacement part number for BUHW. I use in my 35hp. No issue.

    I made an adapter plate for my automotive engine stand. Works great on my 9.9 and 35hp motors, probably not tall enough for a big motor.

    Never had a use for a whale tail, Usually used as a bandaid for other issues. That said, run it and see, unbolt and run again, Post your results.

    Check your Prop Folks!!

    I always pull the prop every year, usually hafta clean out some fishing line. Always wonder when I will see the flo torque hub start to fail. Good catch.

    For those of us who tow our boat, do you inspect it ?

    I give my trailers a good going over every year, repack bearings, usually fix lights. I look at the trailers everytime I launch once the boat is off. I also check tire pressures everytime I tow. I have still had surprise issues.

    PVC or Hypalon?

    Wipe with MEK. If it is pvc it will feel a little sticky, if it is hypalon it will just get cleaner.
