went out last weekend with my 16' cape horn have a 2000 70 hp 4 stroke suzuki ran wot for 10 miles did some scalloping and starded back alarm came on temp light also rpms droped to 2500 or so. I stoped turned off engine restarted water stream was fine didnt seem hot went 6 miles or so same...

I have a 1998 <br /><br />proline 18'3" flats boat with a 1998 150 johnson i only turn 4900 rpms with a 14.5x18 raker prop i tried a 19" pitch turned 5000 rpms went to a 17' pitch turn 5000 rpms boat did about 38 mph with all three props does this sound ok and will it harm engine ?
thinking about buying a used boat with a 1998 Johnson 150 Ocean Runner I have heard a few negative things about this engine can someone give me some advice engine has around 60 hours on it
