    Is 60 PSI to low?

    Finally got to borrow compression tester today, rushed home let the dogs out and started pulling plugs. Here is what i found, all 4 cylinders had 60 psi +/- 1 or 2 psi. So can this be or do i need to retest with a diffrent tester, this one belongs to a bus mechanic where i work and looks ok...

    Have i wasted my money?

    Recieved new johnson alum. 13.25 x 17 prop today, put it on as soon as i got home. Heres my question thought i was replacing 12.75 x 21 alum . WRONG!!!! Turns out its stainless part# 389512 looks like letter M with U around it. 21 was turning 5000 rpm WOT, trying to get 5800 rpm. What do you...

    Take it off, or leave it on?

    It's a good day,won new 13.25 x 17 prop on ebay, $95 to the door! The setup that came on the boat was a 1983 90 hp johnson with 12.75 x 21 prop. It also has one of those hydrofoil things attached on the lower end. So what will be the pros or cons of leaving the FIN on with the new prop? Thanks!!
