    Mariner 175 overheating problems......

    Mariner 175 V-6 1987 This motor alarms shortly after opening it up and getting on plane. At idle it is fine. This is what I've done so far. New water pump (whole thing), new stats, new temp sensor, new poppet valve parts. Did a compression test with warm motor. #1-104, #2-106, #3-115...

    175 Mariner, Pee slow and spits

    Hi guys. A little history first. Motor was overheating (alarm) last fall. Temp gauge pined all the way over at WOT. So, put in new water pump kit, the whole thing, housing, plates, gaskets, cup, impeller, etc. Also new temp gauge sending unit and new stats. OK, the alarm no longer goes off...
